Do you take insurance? We do not take insurance. Over the years, insurance companies have developed more and more of a say in how medicine is practiced. By not billing insurance, we can get back to focusing on treating the individual we see in clinic, instead of treating them based off what will be covered by their insurance. We are not focused on seeing as many patients as possible, but want take as much time as is needed with our patients.

Will this work for me?You may feel like you have tried it all, so what makes this different? The 1:1 approach and personalized plan specifically for YOUR labs and current state of health with your individual health goals in mind make your care at Well Rooted different from many other healthcare approaches. The majority of people see immense improvement within 3-6 months if they put in the work and consistency with the recommendations provided.

What happens after I finish my treatment plan of 3 or 6 months?Following completion of a treatment plan, you may remain on our roster as a patient and we can see you or your child on a prorated fee-for-service basis as needed for illness/concerns for one year. We will not be a replacement for primary care provider/wellness care but an extra ally on your child’s health journey. Following the one year, if you wish to remain a patient on our roster, there is an annual membership fee to remain on active patient roster; all care from there is rendered at the fee-for-service rate.

Where will I get lab testing done? Many functional lab tests can be shipped directly to your home (whether urine, stool, or saliva is needed). For lab work requiring a blood draw, you are able to bring your order form to several labs in the Birmingham area for blood work to be drawn.
-
What can I expect at my first appointment?During your first visit at Well Rooted, we spend time getting to know you, and allow you to get to know Jenn, your provider. We will review your questionnaire and medical history, take an in-depth history, perform a physical exam, may order advanced lab and functional testing, and begin to implement initial plan of care. We will answer any questions, and hopefully empower you to begin or continue on your journey to wellness. Expect your first visit to last 60-90 minutes.
-
Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for my membership, visit, or services? In some cases, yes, Well Rooted's fees are FSA and HSA eligible. Reach out to your insurance representative to discuss your specific benefits coverage.
-
How much of a time commitment will it be?It’s all about what you want from the program! The only actual time committment you are signing up for are the included sessions. Often addressing the root cause of many chronic conditions can take time, but with each change you make, you will hopefully be encouraged and empowered to continue as you start to notice results.

Do you still prescribe medications or is everything all natural? As an integrative medical clinic, we take a holistic approach to healing, while understanding that traditional western medicine can provide life saving treatments. We focus heavily on lifestyle modification and natural remedies, while not forgoing the need for traditional medications when necessary. We recognize that there are often significant nutritional and lifestyle contributors to many chronic conditions.
